East Village |
|
East Village got its start as an Eastern European
community. Its desirable location is just 10 minutes
from the Loop, a few blocks from the hip Wicker Park
neighborhood, and just East of Ukrainian Village. Like
much of the area, East Village as been reborn, thanks to
urban pioneers, artists and entrepreneurs who were
attracted by lower real estate prices. Today, there
still are some opportunities to find affordable
properties. Close to the Loop and Wicker Park, East
Village provides proximity to Chicago's outstanding
theaters, museums and galleries, as well as the trendier
fare near Milwaukee and Damen. White Sox fans might also
like the area for its proximity to the ballpark that
most still call Comisky Park. East Village also offers
immediate access to the city's highway system. |
